PILOXING BEGINS FRIDAY, APRIL 13TH!!!!
LEAD BY OUR CERTIFIED PILOXING INSTRUCTOR HANNAH WILCOX
PILOXING uniquely mixes Pilates and boxing moves into a fat torching, muscle sculpting, core-centric interval workout, guaranteed to whip you into shape, using a class format that's both fun and challenging. At the core of PILOXING is the principle that feminine is powerful and it aims for women to attain a sleek and powerful self-image. PILOXING blends the power, speed and agility of boxing with the beautiful sculpting and flexibility of Pilates while adding fun, energetic dance moves. In addition to Pilates and boxing movements, the exercise incorporates the use of weighted gloves which add to the workout by toning the arms and maximizing cardiovascular health.

The goal of On Pointe Dance Studio is to provide students of all ages the most positive and exciting dance experience while delivering the skills and technique needed to enjoy dance for a lifetime! We are continuously studying the latest techniques in dance education and look forward to working with you and your child. Thank-you for your interest in On Pointe Dance Studio!
On Pointe Dance Studio offers a complete dance curriculum for all ages and abilities. We stress proper technique and performance with classes ranging from the specialized program for pre-schoolers to tap, jazz, acrobatics, and ballet on advanced levels. Our professional staff offers over 25 years of experience on all levels.
Ballet - Ballet is the foundation for all forms of dance. It is essential to the development of poise, grace, balance and discipline required to become an excellent dancer. Students must wear leotard and tights and have pink ballet shoes. Hair must be worn away from the face.
Tap - Tap class will consist of fundamental rhythms and proper tap technique. Elementary classes will be required to wear Mary Jane style tap shoes. Intermediate and advanced classes will be required to wear jazz taps.
Jazz - To excel in jazz dance, dancers must master ballet technique because it consists of slower movements that strengthens the body and improves balance. Jazz dancers' strong and sharp movements are also aided by ballet technique. Jazz dance can take many different paths. It is often competed in large groups in its more traditional form, but can also cross over into other styles of dance to be lyrical, contemporary, or hip-hop.
Acrobatics - Acrobatics consists of beginner, intermediate and advanced levels of tumbling, stressing flexibility, control, and strength. Students must wear dance attire, no loose fitted-clothing allowed. Hair must be worn away from the face. |
